Welcome to my website

I live and work in Gaimersheim and on Mallorca. My painting seeks to capture the immediacy of human existence: through dynamic, gestural brushstrokes and an expressive, powerful use of color, I focus on the essential – capturing the “moment.” Large-scale works serve as a resonant space for themes that demand a clear artistic response.

People are at the center of my work. My travels to Africa have had a profound impact on me—the vibrant colors, the diversity of cultures, and the dignity of the people are directly reflected in works such as my fabric portrait series. Yet my art does not turn a blind eye to reality. Current issues such as displacement and war preoccupy me just as much as the fascinating facets of nature.

Each work evolves from an intensive process of exploration. My works invite the viewer to let go of their inner distance. For me, art is a dialogue: it moves me deeply when my paintings connect with your own memories or speak to you on an inner level.

My works have received international recognition and are featured in exhibitions around the world, as well as in private and public collections (including the Federal Chancellery in Berlin). I am also featured in the book “Great Artists of Mallorca”.
